The Last Kids on Earth and the Midnight Blade by Max Brallier

 

The main characters are Jack, Quint, June, and Dirk. They are surviving a zombie/monster apocalypse.

I like the book because the main character fails, trains and then wins.

I like this series because it has high action and a good story line. I think that you might like it if you like humor, a good story line, monsters, and zombies.
