Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz

--Review by David L.

Snakehead is a teen novel written by Anthony Horowitz. This book is a pure adventure novel. This is book is really worth the read.

Alex Rider is the main character. He is a teen who works for MI6 (British Secret Intelligence). In  this book, Alex Rider goes on a mission to infiltrate Snakehead, a gang who illegally imports weapons, drugs, and people. Later on, he discovers that Snakehead is planning to set off a bomb. So he works with the SAS (British Special Forces) to deactivate the bomb.

You would love this book because it starts off as an adventure right away. I like how Alex Rider survives over and over again even though he almost dies a couple of times.  For example, he was trapped in a hospital that was going to take his eyes out but he escaped.

I would rate this book 5 stars because this book vividly describes everything and the author writes it with suspense. If you don’t like fantasy, then drop this book and go find something else. This book is for middle schoolers who like spy books and adventures. I think the author wrote this book very well.
