The Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket is the first of a series of 13 books that is a strange but very fun read. It's a mix of genres with different aspects like mystery, adventure, and a lot of others. Violet the oldest is an inventive, smart girl. Klaus the middle child, loves to read and Sunny the youngest, loves to bite. The Baudelaire children lost their parents in a fire and moved in with Count Olaf, a mean, cruel man looking for money. As they go from relative to relative, Count Olaf follows their every move, putting them in dangerous situations.
