Maybe a Fox by Kathi Appelt and Alison McGhee

Image result for book cover maybe a fox I was a bit scared when my teacher told me we had to
read a fantasy novel because I don't love fantasy. So I tried to get a short book,
but I could not find one so I picked Maybe a Fox thinking that I would hate it but i
t was the exact opposite. I opened the book and started to learn about the characters
Sylvie and Jules. They both like to go outside and make snow families when snow
falls, but one day they ran out of room so they went to the slide. Their dad told them
to never go to the slide so they would not get hurt, but Sylvie wanted to stay so
Jules went home but Sylvie never came back. Read the book to find out what
happened!

I recommend this book to 6th through 9th graders because it can get deep
and scary at some points. I rate this book a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars because it had
a few boring chapters. if you like a good mystery/fantasy novel this book
is for you!--Review by L. Barnett
