Five on Finniston Farm by Enid Blyton

The book I am reviewing is called Five on Finniston Farm by Enid Blyton and this book is the 18th book in the Famous Five series but you don’t need to read the rest of the series before this book. In Five on Finniston Farm Julian, Dick, George, Anne, and Timmy are staying at Finniston Farm for the holidays. Julian, Dick, and Anne are siblings, George is their cousin, and Timmy is George’s dog. When they get to Finniston Farm they meet nice Ms. Philpot, Great Grandad, and the mysterious Harries twins. While staying at Finniston Farm Julian, Dick, George, and Anne also meet two other residents, a rude american kid named Junior, and his dad. Julian, Dick, George, Anne, and Timmy soon make friends with the Harries twins and the poodle Snippet and the jackdaw named Nosey. When the Americans start searching for lost treasure on the farm Julian, Dick, George, Anne, and the Harries twins are determined to find it first.

I really liked this book a lot. I think my favorite part is when George teaches Junior a lesson. Junior is a very spoiled kid in the story and George goes and takes Junior’s breakfast to him and spills hot coffee and teaches him a lesson that he won’t forget. That is what started the friendship between the Famous Five (Julian, Dick, George, Anne, and Timmy) and the Harries twins. The book itself is also a bit funny along the way which adds a lot more to the reading experience.

I would like to recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure stories. The books are a bit shorter and for maybe 9-11 year olds. All books that are written by Enid Blyton are British books but still my all time favorites especially Five on Finniston Farm.
