The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill

The Girl Who Drank The Moon is a beautiful story of a girl trying to find her place in the world. She was scarified from her village for the witch that lives in the woods. The people in her village fear the witch, to the point where they sacrifice their own children to her. However, the witch, named Xan is kind. She takes the children to the other side of the woods, to the free cites. Feeding them starlight on the way. In Luna's case however, Xan made a mistake and fed her moonlight instead. The moonlight fills Luna with powerful yet dangerous magic. Once the magic starts leaking when Luna is 13, The dangerous power is at her fingers and she has no idea.

I loved this book. It was a beautiful story with dragons and magic. Luna was personally my favorite character because I can relate to her, being confused about your true self and an animal lover.

I rate this book 5 stars all the way. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and fiction. Beautifully written, A smooth plot and amazing characters, You will love it!
