The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson, Annabeth, and Grover leave Camp to go on a quest to find Zeus’s master bolt. Their quest takes them all the way from a New York boarding school in the city, to the Underworld, in Sunny California. On the way, they meet many people, including Ares, Medusa, and Hades. Trickery, traveling, testing, and Greek myths make this quest harder than Percy ever expected.

I loved the book! Percy was a deep, kind person who always tried to help others. He tried to save his mother from the Minotaur instead of running, and killed it! Annabeth was a fierce warrior, as a daughter of Athena, she was wise, kind and fiery. She saved Percy from many monsters, including Medusa. Grover, the satyr, was funny. He loved Percy but thought he was bad at his job of protecting him. He was there when Percy was first attacked and failed to help, although Percy survived. I definitely relate to Annabeth. We have the same fiery temper and habit of noticing all nuances.

If you like any books by Rick Riordan, be sure to check the book out if you haven't already! It is a Greek version of Aru Shah, and it has the same thrill!
