Sheets by Brenna Thummler

Sheets is definitely a book that will pull you in as soon as you start reading. Marjorie has a brother and father, her mother passed away. She works at a laundromat which is her families business. Until her mother died it was quite successful. But her father got very depressed and the business was all up to Marjorie. Soon enough ghosts had been everywhere, Marjorie makes a friend and there are ups and downs throughout the book. Read to find out!

I loved this book! It has a great plot, well thought out characters and it’s not all over the place which I find happens a lot. For example when something happens then on the next page the characters are focusing on something completely different. This book I really enjoyed and it has a good amount of sarcasm which I like alot. There are also side scenes like thoughts or what Marjorie is feeling. “Laundry because it’s much too real. Ghosts because they’re not. If they did exist (which they don’t). Would they be, like, slightly less visible humans? That you’re never 100% sure are really there? Sort of like when you watch someone swimming underwater: From the surface, she’s just a blur. And if you’re beside her, close enough to see, your eyes are shut tight.”

If you like graphic novels, slightly sad but somewhat real as a POV (point of view) this is 100000% for you! Sheets is a fun read for those who want to read something that will pull you right in. I’m the same way if the book doesn't have me wanting to read more by the 3-10 page, that's how I know it’s not a good match for me.
