Trials of Apollo Book 2: The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan

The Dark Prophecy is a book in a series of The Trials of Apollo. In this series, Apollo, a former god in Olympus, is revoked of his abilities as a god by his father, Zeus, otherwise known as the god of the universe and lightning. Apollo does not know why or how to get his powers back, but he knows that he has to prove himself by accompanying/helping a demigod, named Meg. As he brings Meg to camp half-blood, the camp for young demigods, Meg gets a quest to destroy a secret organization that has been planning under cover for thousands of years.

I like this book because it makes Apollo go really out of character and allows him to learn the perspective of a demigod firsthand. He learns a lot from his mistakes making him a good role model. If you like fiction books that have some true information in them, this is also the book for you. Rick Riordan did a great job in weaving Greek and Roman mythology and the modern world together. This allows you to learn a lot of cool facts! I recommend this book because it is an overall great read with an interesting plot.
